Lunar eclipse in Taurus 2021

Blood MoonThe Full Moon in Taurus falling on Fri 19 Nov is a lunar eclipse, the first of the Taurus-Scorpio eclipses, intensifying the energy of this Full Moon.

Full Moons tend to bring situations to a head and the lunar eclipse will intensify that.  We’re also likely to see extreme earth changes around the time of this eclipse – the recent flooding and landslides in Vancouver, Canada are just one example of this.

Technically this is a partial eclipse, but at 97%, it’s an almost total lunar eclipse, so we can expect to see a Blood Moon with just a sliver of light on one side.

At the collective level, this eclipsed Full Moon in Taurus asks that we bring our attention to Mother Earth, that we honour our role as her guardians and caretakers of this beautiful planet of ours. This is a cosmic invitation to create a new path forwards, taking conscious action to insist that governments, multinational corporations – and even individuals – stop abusing their power and stop abusing the planet.

As the eclipses move through the signs of Taurus and Scorpio over the next couple of years, we will be drawn more and more into letting go of these outdated, exploitative business models that ravage the Earth, and move towards creating a new path which honours the Earth and all forms of life here.

At a personal level, this eclipsed Full Moon in Taurus brings into focus your ability to be sensuous and grounded and is an excellent time to indulge the senses and pamper the body.  This Full Moon invites you to find a balance between the physical sensuality of Taurus and the emotional depth of Scorpio, great if everything is open in your relationship, but if there are underlying issues around jealousy or possessiveness, this Lunar eclipse could bring the situation to a head with some emotional drama playing out!

Check your birth chart to see which house is under the Full Moon spotlight at 27 degrees Taurus as this is the area of life where matters may well come to fruition or be revealed, intensified by the eclipse.

The lunar eclipse will be exact in Queensland at 7.03pm AEST (the Full Moon is exact at 6.57pm) and the eclipse will be visible for some time before and after that.
