Jupiter & Saturn rise in the east in the early evening, both very bright and they can be seen higher in the sky as the night progresses.  Mars the red planet rises around midnight.

Venus shines brightly now as the Morning Star.

(Second) Lunar eclipse Full Moon: Sun 5 July 2020 at 2.44pm AEST at 13 Capricorn

A high energy time when things often come to fruition or events come to a head, intensified by the lunar eclipse.

Moon planting: The week following Full Moon is the best time for planting root crops.

 

Last Quarter: Mon 13 July 2020 at 9.29am AEST at 21 Aries

A time of reorientation as the light of the Moon decreases, eventually going into the low-energy time of Old Moon just before the cycle begins again with the next New Moon.

Moon planting: The last week of the Moon cycle is the best time for weeding and composting.

 

New Moon: Tues 21 July 2020 at 3.32am AEST at 28 Cancer

A time of renewed energy as a new cycle starts, intensified by the solar eclipse.

Moon planting: The week following the New Moon is the best time for planting leafy greens.

 

First Quarter: Mon 27 July 2020 at 10.33pm AEST at 4 Scorpio

A time to take decisive action with unfolding events as the light of the Moon continues to grow.

Moon planting: The week following First Quarter Moon is ideal for planting fruiting vegetables.
