Pluto enters Aquarius (again)

Pluto returns to Aquarius on 21 Jan.  We’ve had a taste of Pluto in Aquarius already, when Pluto first ventured into Aquarius last March for about 10 weeks.  As I commented then, Pluto moving into a new sign is absolutely momentous, bringing seismic shifts in society, and the move into Aquarius is likely to see extraordinary advancements in how technology is used.  We’ve already got Open AI, the metaverse, blockchain and robotics, and the potential is mind-blowing.  Many of these will greatly enhance our lives, but there is always the dark side – the danger with Pluto is always misuse or even abuse of power.  We need to stay vigilant for how these new technologies are being used, like mass surveillance programmes and the kind of government control over the population that we associate with authoritarian regimes.

The biggest shift that I see with Pluto moving into Aquarius is the growing power of communities – especially online communities.  I feel that decentralisation of power will be a growing trend over this Pluto in Aquarius period, ie the next twenty years.

If you have chart points between zero and 2 degrees of the fixed signs (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio) you’ll be strongly affected by Pluto’s transition into Aquarius.  The challenge is to go through the Plutonian journey of transformation and step fully into your power.

It’s important to note that we’re in the transition phase now, as Pluto enters Aquarius again, this time for about 7½ months.  It’ll then return briefly to Capricorn before moving into Aquarius for good at the end of this year.

Pluto will move into Aquarius for good on 20 Nov 2024 (AEST), and will then stay in Aquarius till 2043-44.
