The Full Moon in Aquarius on Tues 20 Aug 2024 is the first of 4 consecutive Supermoons, intensifying the Full Moon energy for the next four months.

As always with a Supermoon, the Full Moon appears larger and brighter in the sky than usual, and has a much stronger-than-usual effect on us, heightening emotional dramas, overstretching emergency workers, as well as bringing higher tides and extreme weather events.

The Aquarian Full Moon highlights the importance of establishing a balance between the needs of the collective and the needs of the individual.  We can expect issues of freedom and equality to be especially prominent as Uranus (the modern ruler of Aquarius) makes a challenging T-square to this Supermoon.

Full Moons often bring situations to a head, so be prepared for issues (whether at the personal or collective level) to reach some kind of crisis point where resolution becomes imperative. Any crisis happening now will of course be heightened by the Supermoon, and is likely to carry the revolutionary energy of Uranus.

The US Democratic Convention will be held right on this Full Moon, so expect some high-energy stakes!  This Aquarian Full Moon falls exactly on the USA’s Moon (Sibly chart) and almost exactly on Kamala Harris’ Saturn, close to her MC … potentially a time of crowning achievement for her, with the full spotlight on her and her role in the world.  The synastry with the US chart suggests to me that her role could be to protect (Saturn) the US people (Moon).

This Full Moon in Aquarius could also bring new and experimental ideas into sharp focus, especially regarding technology.

The Supermoon Full Moon falls at 27 degrees Aquarius and is exact at 4.25am Queensland time (AEST) on Tues 20 Aug.  The best time for celebration and ceremony will be the previous night while the energy is still building.  Expect feelings to run high … it is a Supermoon after all!
