Aries Equinox 2024 – where do you need more balance in your life?

Aries Equinox 2024 – where do you need more balance in your life?

.
Celtic eight-fold year

The Aries Equinox falls on Wed 20 March (AEST), as the Sun moves out of dreamy Pisces and into action-oriented Aries

The Equinox marks the change of the seasons, the time of year when day and night are of equal length and the seasons come to a point of balance (equi-nox is Latin for ‘equal night’).  It might nor feel like it, but we’re half-way between summer and winter!

This is a perfect time to explore what might be out of balance in your own life and find a way to restore that balance, whether it’s in your relationships, your work-family balance, or any other part of your life.

If you like placing sticks in the ground and playing with shadows – and sundials – the Equinox is the day of the year when, wherever you are in the world, the Sun rises due east.  The Sun is directly overhead at the Equator at this time – something that happens twice a year in March and September.  It is this astronomical phenomenon that defines the beginning of Aries in the Tropical Zodiac.

The Equinox is exact at 1.06pm Queensland time (AEST).

Sept Equinox 2023 – What’s out of balance in your life?

EquinoxSolsticeSept Equinox 2023: Libra ingress

What’s out of balance in your life?

The Equinox falls on Sat 23 Sept, exact at 4.49pm AEST.  The theme of the Equinox is always about balance.

This is the time of year when day and night are of equal length (equi-nox means ‘equal night’ in Latin), the Sun rises due east wherever you are in the world, and the seasons come to a point of balance.

LibraThe Sept Equinox is marked by the Sun moving into the zodiac sign of Libra, the sign associated with harmony, balance and fairness.  This is where astronomy and astrology align!

In the Southern hemisphere this is the Spring Equinox, a time of rejoicing that winter is over and celebrating the birth of new life.  Echoing the Virgo New Moon, this is an excellent time for a Spring Cleanse!

The seasons are reversed in the Northern hemisphere of course, where this is the Autumn Equinox, a time of harvest celebration, giving thanks for the crops produced by the summer months.

Whether you are celebrating Spring or Autumn Equinox, this is a perfect time to reflect on your own life, explore what might be out of balance there and find a way to restore balance, whether it’s in your relationships, your work or any other aspect of your life.

Time for balance: Aries Equinox 2023

 Time for balance

EquinoxThe Aries Equinox this year falls  right at the end of the lunar month, just before the next New Moon.

The Equinox falls on the morning of Tues 21 March in Queensland (the previous day in Europe and the Americas), as the Sun moves out of dreamy Pisces and into action-oriented Aries

The Equinox marks the change of the seasons, the time of year when day and night are of equal length and the seasons come to a point of balance (equi-nox is Latin for ‘equal night’).

It is this astronomical phenomenon that defines the beginning of Aries in the Tropical zodiac.

The Equinox is a point of balance, and is a perfect time to explore what might be out of balance in your own life and find a way to restore that balance, whether it’s in your relationships, your work-family balance, or any other part of your life.

If you like placing sticks in the ground and playing with shadows – and sundials – the Equinox is the day of the year when, wherever you are in the world, the Sun rises due east.  The Sun is directly overhead at the Equator at this time.  This happens twice a year in March (the Aries equinox) and September (the Libra equinox).

This March Equinox is exact at 7.24am Queensland time (AEST).
